Bollywood filmmaker Boney Kapoor has never shied away from talking about his life with his late wife, actress Sridevi. He and their daughters Janhvi Kapoor, Khushi Kapoor often remember her as a force who always had their back. In one of his earlier interactions with Komal Nahta, the producer had opened up about facing a tough time when he suffered a major financial crisis. Talking about it, he had explained that it was his own mistake as he let his passion be driven off by indulgence. 

Taking the examples of big names from Bollywood, he stated that many go through such problems. Quoted by BollywoodShaadis, he added, “In our industry, everyone from Raj Kapoor to Amitabh Bachchan has gone through ups and downs. It happens, especially, to those filmmakers who are passionate. But the fact is, that they overcame it. The 68-year-old filmmaker went on to get tear-eyed and highly spoke of his wife for standing by him and understanding him when he faced a financial crisis. While talking about the impact the debt had on him, he expressed his gratitude towards his family and his wife for being there for him. Kapoor said, “God supported me, my family supported me, and Sri supported me in a very big way. She was like a rock. She understood me. She knew that I hadn’t used the money for the wrong reasons. It wasn’t like I lost money in gambling or anything. I didn’t do anything wrong. For the unversed, Boney Kapoor was earlier married to Mona Shourie Kapoor. He had two kids with her, a son Arjun Kapoor, and a daughter Anshula Kapoor. A few years after their separation, Boney tied the knot with Sridevi in 1996. They were blessed with two beautiful daughters Janhvi and Khushi, who are currently making a mark in the Hindi entertainment industry.
